Prints available again on Saatchi Art

Fine art photography black and white self portrait limited edition print by Alessandra Favetto

You can now shop my Limited edition prints on Saatchi Art online gallery again!

For about two months I had to temporarily set my gallery account as unavailable due to lockdown here in Spain. Everything was closed and going out was forbidden for a long time.
I wasn’t able to print, move or send any artwork, a total artwork lockdown.
Covid-19 emergency definitely affected many artists and galleries worldwide.

Now we’re slowly going back to normal although with lots of limitations so shipments will now take a bit longer.

This emergency left me with a small problem.
I have to change my art print provider as my current one for the last 6 years has definitely closed its doors. I’m already contacting other gicleé art printing services in Spain and checking quality of prints. This means that it will take some more time to print and send artworks, at least until I can rely completely on my printing service.

As you probably already know all my limited edition artworks are made to order so the estimated production time is now 15-20 working days (delivery time not included). Hopefully I can speed up the process soon and go back to the normal production time.

But here I go, making all my artworks available again!.

You can shop my prints on Saatchi Art and check out the new artworks on sale as well.

I’d also like to remind you that if there’s an image on the website you would like to buy but that is not listed in Saatchi Art gallery you can send me a message and I’ll arrange it for you.

I really thank you for your understanding and patience!

The embrace flying to the US

First artwork sold this year! "The embrace", a 50x50cm limited edition print of 15, featuring a woman's back embraced by red/pinkish long hair.

First artwork sold this year! “The embrace“, a 50x50cm limited edition print of 15, featuring a woman’s back embraced by red/pinkish long hair.

This image is part of the series “Creatively” and is one of the 5 images I made with long hair being the main focus.
I had long hair at that time (not that long of course) and for the artwork purpose I dyed it red.

Hair is a powerful symbol of individual and group identity, extremely personal and public at the same time.

When I was creating these “hair inspired” images I investigated a lot about how hair was perceived by different cultures.
In most cultures hair represents beauty, strength, freedom, wealth and health and is often associated with youth and sexuality.

According to other cultures long hair is needed to cover women’s body when they’re buried as they lack clothes. This is where the idea of “The embrace” came from.

Thank you!

There’s also a larger edition of 10, 50×50 cm, available through Saatchi Art.
